Description: The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), Department of Fisheries and Oceans (Canada), Taku Tlingit First Nations, and Tahltan First Nations work together to estimate harvest and escapements of Pacific salmon returning to the Stikine and Taku rivers along with other transboundary rivers in Southeast Alaska. Part of both the U.S. and Canadian fisheries involves commercial fisheries of salmon returning to these rivers. For the Canadian fisheries these commercial and aboriginal fisheries take place inriver and the general areas are outlined in this layer.
